Tariff changes

All tariffs are quoted subject to change, without prior notice. However, rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation charge is required to confirm the reservation. 10% of the full accommodation charge is non-refundable. The balance is due in full 30 days prior to the arrival date.

Retail Agents and Tour Operators are requested to refer to their STO agreements for payment terms and conditions.

Extras may be settled in camp.

All credit cards are welcome. 

Cancellation policy

• More than 29 days before arrival - 10% non-refundable deposit on the full accommodation amount due to Savanna
• 28 - 21 days before arrival - 50% of full accommodation amount due to Savanna
• 20 - 14 days before arrival - 75% of full accommodation amount due to Savanna
• 13 days or less - 100% of full accommodation amount due to Savanna

Extra cancellation charges may occur from 3rd Party suppliers (flights/transfers).

We advise that all travellers purchase travel insurance that provides full cancellation cover.

Children

We regret that we do not accommodate children under the age of eight years, unless the whole camp or the whole Savanna Suite is booked. Children 11 years and younger sharing with an adult pay 50% of the full rate.

Travel documents

Travel documents, such as passports and visas to enter the country, are the responsibility of the individual guest.

Important: South Africa immigration requirements

South Africa passport control has become very strict, to the point of deporting a number of guests due to their passports not complying with requirements. Passports MUST be valid for at least six months from the guest’s return date. We recommend a validity of nine months to prevent any problems in this regard. There must be at least three blank visa pages in the passport (not endorsement pages). Guests have been refused entry due to not having sufficient visa pages in their passports.

Non-smoking policy

In the interest of health and safety, Savanna observes a strict non-smoking policy. Smoking is not allowed in the suites or on game drives. It is only permitted in designated smoking areas in the lodge, and during drinks breaks on game drives.

Arrival / departure

Guests may arrive any time from noon, and the rooms are to be vacated by 11h00. Please note that the game drive departs at 16h00 in summer and at 15h30 in winter.

Medical

An on site emergency medical service is available which includes evacuation to a private hospital in Nelspruit if necessary.

Since malaria is present in the Mpumalanga region where Savanna is situated, it is essential to ensure that anti-malaria precautions be taken throughout the year.
